Ashford Brown Ale: Nutty, Smooth, and Already Moving
Ashford Brown Ale landed Tuesday afternoon — 22 IBU, English-style, the kind of beer that doesn't shout but definitely gets attention once people try it.
We opened one bottle for the team. Nutty up front, almost hazelnut, with a clean malt sweetness that doesn't overstay. No bitterness to speak of, just a smooth finish that made everyone reach for a second sip. By the time we'd logged the delivery and rotated stock, three customers had already picked up six-packs.
Why It's Moving
People ask what's new, we hand them Ashford, they nod and add it to their basket. No long tasting-note speech required. It's approachable without being boring — the kind of brown ale that works for someone who thinks they don't like brown ales.
We've got it stacked on the end cap near the lagers and it's doing better than half the IPAs we featured last month.
Stock Note
We started with four cases. As of this morning, we're down to two and a handful of loose six-packs. If you've been thinking about it since you saw the shelf tag, now's a good time.
Grab your six-pack before the weekend rush. Once the end cap's empty, restocks take a week minimum and I can't promise the distributor won't short us like they did with Millbrook.
Ashford's doing the work. We're just keeping the cooler stocked.
