Millbrook Red Ale tastes better cold than the team expected
The team grabbed a bottle of Millbrook Red Ale straight off the pallet Thursday morning. Room temperature, thirty seconds after the distributor left, because we wanted to know what we were shelving.
First sip: malt-forward, caramel backbone, a little sticky on the finish. Honest beer, but nothing that made us want to call anyone. We loaded it into cooler two and went back to inventory.
Cold changes the story
Friday afternoon one of the team pulled a chilled bottle for break. Same label, completely different experience. The caramel mellowed into toffee, a light hop bitterness came through at 28 IBU that we didn't catch warm, and the finish cleaned up fast. Suddenly Millbrook Red wasn't just honest — it was something we'd recommend without hesitation.
We're not scientists, but temperature matters more than we gave it credit for. This one wants to be cold.
Middle shelf, cooler two
Millbrook Red Ale is stocked now, and the whole team knows to talk it up. Malty but balanced, clean finish, drinks easy at 5.2% ABV. If someone asks for a red ale that isn't trying to be a different style, this is the call.
We've got plenty in stock — reserve your six-pack before the weekend rush clears us out. The team will make sure it's cold.
