Pinewood Pale Ale: Citrus Up Front, Pine on the Finish
Pinewood Pale Ale showed up Tuesday and we cracked one at shift change to see if it belonged on the end-cap. Verdict: yes.
What You're Getting
Pour is clear copper with a tight off-white head. Aroma hits grapefruit peel and a hint of pine sap — classic Cascade hops doing the work they were bred for. First sip is clean citrus, moderate bitterness, and a dry finish that doesn't hang around making speeches. No caramel malt sweetness fighting for attention. Just hops, grain, and a crisp exit.
ABV sits at 5.4%, IBU around 42. Balanced enough for dinner, assertive enough that you know you're drinking a pale ale.
Cooler Placement
We've got it on the middle shelf in cooler three, right next to the Clearwater Pale Ale restock from last week. If you liked that one, Pinewood leans a little drier and brings more pine character to the table.
Pairs well with grilled chicken, fish tacos, or the last hour of daylight on the porch.
Reserve Your Case
We brought in six cases to start. If this moves the way I think it will, we'll double the order next week. Tap the link to hold a four-pack before the weekend rush clears us out.
Solid pale ale. No gimmicks. Just hops and execution.
