Four things that didn't move this week

I run the sales report every Thursday morning. Most weeks it's predictable: IPAs fly, lagers move steady, the sours sit until someone curious wanders in.

This week four things barely budged, and I can't figure out why.

Copper Trail Amber

We restocked it Monday. Sold three six-packs all week. It's clean, it's balanced, it's exactly what people say they want when they're tired of hops. But they reach past it for the hazy stuff every time.

Fieldstone Kölsch

Mitch put up a chalkboard sign. I moved it to eye level Tuesday. Still sitting at eleven cases. It's July. It's 86 degrees outside. This should be gone.

Northlight Dunkel

Full disclosure: this one I understand. Dark lager in summer is a hard sell. But it's actually perfect cold, and no one's giving it a chance.

Crescent Coast Gose

The wildcard. Sours usually find their people. This one has sea salt and lime zest—easy-drinking, interesting enough to talk about. Sold two four-packs since Saturday.

I'm not saying these are bad picks. I'm saying the cooler has its own logic and I'm still learning it.

Maybe next week I'll shuffle the Kölsch to the front and see what happens. Or maybe Mitch will sell the whole pallet in one shift by telling people it's his favorite. That's how it usually goes.
